Johnathon Heslop, born in Bishop Auckland, was raised in Spennymoor, County Durham, in the northeast part of England.

Much of Johnathon’s free time as a youth was spent travelling all over the country with his family to see soccer games. This passion as well as an influential coach helped Jonathon find his way to the States where he currently works with the Dexter Soccer Club.

Some of his earlier experiences like captaining his local club at home for 4 years—beginning at the age of 17, playing in numerous F.A. cup games, and winning the Midwest Soccer Classic with a high school boys team he coached in Illinois, have helped form a great foundation for his current role of coaching various teams within the DSC.

Johnathon pursued an education at the Tudhoe Grange Secondary School and the New College Durham/Sunderland University, where he received a Foundation degree in Sport & Exercise Science.
