What is the new direction of the Dexter Soccer Club (DSC)?

The DSC is bringing together a group of Coaches, Professional Trainers, and Volunteers, to compete at a level other successful clubs have been doing for years.

Why the new Professional Trainers and MSA?

The professional trainers and philosophy of MSA and Dutch Touch soccer have proven to be very effective not only from a soccer club perspective but also from a professional club perspective. DSC strives to attract players for outstanding training and long term team success for club play, high school, and beyond.

What is the new DSC Kangaroos Program?

The DSC Kangaroos is a program designed to introduce the game of soccer to very young players. Our goals are to help them develop basic skills and gain their confidence and love for the game of soccer.

What is the DSC Academy Program?

The DSC Academy program is designed to give soccer players a chance to learn the game of soccer above and beyond Community Educaton (recreation level soccer). The DSC Academy program provides an introduction into the real game of soccer, with training unmatched.

Does the DSC have soccer year round?

DSC has developed the ability to train and play the game of soccer year round. Through a collaborative effort we have spring outdoor, fall outdoor, and winter indoor programs for the serious soccer player

What is the cost to be a DSC player?

How do I become a DSC player?

We welcome players from all over the state of Michigan to play in our club. If you would like to become a part of this growing premiere club you must attend the tryouts (typically June 15^th and 16^th) to secure a spot.

Do players have to attend both days of tryouts?

Your commitment at tryouts is a direct reflection of your comitment to yourself, your team, the DSC club, and the other players. While we can't tell you what to do, it is strongly recommended you attend both days of tryouts to show your level of commitment.

What if my child is interested in another sport that may or may not run parallel with soccer?

We've always encouraged athletes to play any sports they desire. While this builds character and knowledge it also develops your strongest love and commitment for the sport you enjoy most. We also strongly advise you take into consideration the dates and times of games and practices for all sports played at the same time. While we endorse a variety of sports your commitment to any team or sport should be done with the word commitment being the most important part of your decision. No coach, trainer or team likes to feel they are second best to another sport or team especially at practice or on game day!

What are the ages for the DSC and teams?

The DSC has launched several programs to accomodate soccer players of all ages. Our offerings start with the DSC Kangaroos program as young as 4 years old through the age of 6 years old. Then your player has the ability to join the DSC Academy which starts from 6 years old through the age of 9 years old, depending on skill levels. We also have our competitive soccer programs that start at 8 years old all the way to High School these are our U-8 through U High School (UHS) teams. All teams are for boys and girls and are based on age and skill level for their repsective placements.

How do the payment arrangements work in DSC?

The DSC is developing several different ways to become a member and continue your soccer quest right here at the DSC. First we have the annual payment plan (1 yearly payment) we are currently developing. Second we have the seasonal payment plan (per season) whereas you pay every season (register your player by logging in to Blue Sombrero if you would like to pay every season).
